Vitamin A

One reason why you get sick after exercising too much or going through a stressful time in life is due to a deficiency of Vitamin A.

Vitamin A acts as an antioxidant that protects your body cells. Vitamin A which is found in plant sources such as dark leafy vegetables, orange, and yellow vegetables helps to cure acne, provides a healthy reproductive system, and prevents cancer.

Vitamin B

PMS and bad moods can be prevented with a good supply of Vitamin B.

B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 make up what we call Vitamin B or B complex. Non-veg sources, cheese, and curd have good sources of B12. It helps in digestion and prevents depression. It is also found in whole grains, nuts, eggs, vegetables, and fruits. Prefer eating fresh vegetables and fruits instead of frozen because frozen fruits and vegetables lose their nutrient content in them.

Vitamin C

Vitamin B and C being water-soluble can be depleted when our body loses water and hence, our body needs a fresh supply of both vitamins daily.

Vitamin C is easily available in mostly all fruits and vegetables but prefers eating fresh instead of refrigerated because frozen fruits and vegetables can lead to 80% loss of its nutrients especially Vitamin C. This vitamin is a powerful antioxidant and is vital for our immunity system. It helps to manufacture hormones and takes care of our respiratory system by promoting lung function.

Vitamin E

Your body needs vitamin E when you consume heavy amounts of fat such as fried food, bakery products, etc. Vitamin E will prevent fat from turning toxic inside the body.

Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils like sunflower, corn, soy. It’s also found in seeds, nuts, and whole grains. Berries and tomatoes are a wonderful source of Vitamin E. Overcooking food destroys Vitamin E content in it so it’s advisable not to heat up food again and again. You must consume the food within 3 to 4 hours of cooking because it is the time when your food is full of nutrients. Vitamin E is a very healthy nutrient for diabetic patients.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is a life-saving vitamin as it prevents blood clotting in the body and also prevents excessive bleeding in mensuration. Excessive menstrual bleeding is a sign of a lack of Vitamin K in the body.

It helps in building healthy bones and treats the problem of osteoporosis which is very common in women. Vitamin K is found in green leafy vegetables, peas, oats, and whole grains.
